FDA/Safety Sanitation Supervisor

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Science or at least 2 years of proven sanitation supervision experience
Minimum of 2 years managing sanitation programs in a food manufacturing setting
Familiarity with FDA, GFSI, HACCP, and PCQI certifications preferred
Experience leading teams across multiple shifts, with flexibility to respond on all three shifts, especially third shift
Strong knowledge of sanitation processes, safety protocols, and master scheduling
Ability to develop, implement, and audit sanitation procedures aligned with regulatory standards
Budget management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and decision-making capabilities
A continuous improvement mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and nurture the sanitation team, overseeing training, scheduling, and performance evaluations across all shifts
Develop and uphold master sanitation schedules, ensuring daily tasks are completed thoroughly and documented properly
Verify effective cleaning and sanitation of equipment and plant areas, working closely with QA and production teams
Manage chemicals and supplies inventory, maintaining costs within the designated budget
Lead efforts to ensure the facility meets FDA, GFSI, and other regulatory requirements through rigorous program audits and updates
Coordinate with pest control providers, ensuring timely resolution of issues
Foster a culture of safety and compliance, enforcing PPE use, chemical safety, and lockout/tagout procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives by leading process enhancements and team engagement efforts
Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all sanitation standards are consistently met
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare plants for upcoming projects and inspections
