This individual will work closely and at the direction of the senior engineer on the team.\n\nCore Responsibilities\nPrimary focus: OS-level cybersecurity patching\n-- Linux servers (Rocky Linux, CentOS shop)\n-- Windows servers (monthly patches)\n-- Vendor applications (e.g., Aspera file transfer)\nWorkflow: log in, patch, reboot, verify, document\nCoordinate server reactivation in production under senior supervision\nEnvironment is live broadcast production: caution around downtime is critical\n\n4-7 years of professional Linux administration experience\nLinux sys admin proficiency (primary non-negotiable)\nServer management experience (Rocky Linux/ CentOS)\nAbility to read vulnerability tickets and propose remediation\nRead vulnerability tickets implement fixes, validate system functionality, and document completed work.\nExperience navigating complex networking and production environments.\nFollows established team procedures, not self-directed\nMust be hands-on practitioner, not an architect or manager.\nMust be willing to execute, not delegate.\nAWS: basic navigation (EC2 access), not a primary requirement\nMonitoring: Grafana heavily used; Splunk, Backtrace listed but secondary\nScripting (shell or Python): nice to have, not required\n\nTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do. ®\n\nRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
