Position OverviewThe Cost and Plant Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and analysis of manufacturing operations. This role aims to optimize financial performance by managing cost control, budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The manager will lead a team to provide insights into profitability and support strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis in a food manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee financial reporting and compliance for manufacturing operationsPerform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and drive corrective actionsManage budgeting processes and forecasting for the plantConduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-makingEnsure adherence to GAAP standards in all financial practicesLead cost control initiatives to optimize operational efficiencySupervise inventory management practices to ensure accurate financial reportingUtilize ERP systems to enhance data accuracy and streamline accounting processesSupport auditing processes and implement necessary changes based on findingsProvide leadership and mentorship to the accounting teamQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or CMA designation preferred5+ years of experience in cost and plant accounting, preferably in food manufacturingStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProficiency in ERP systems, SAP experience is a plusExcellent analytical and data analysis skillsExperience with budgeting and profitability analysisStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to manage change and drive process improvementsUnderstanding of inventory management and cost control practicesBenefitsCompetitive Base Salary: $120,000 - $150,000Medical, Health, and Dental Package Flexible PTOIncentives Relocation Avail for those relocatingWork with Industry Leaders!
