This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met.\n\n*Duties*\n\n* Do a cleanup/inspection around assigned shear(s) or saw(s).\n* Pick up banding/debris.\n* Check bar length.\n* Set-up Shears and Saws. Go over set up, making sure nothing has come loose. (Make adjustments if needed), verify counters are working and are at the correct count.\n* Be sure all boxes, racks, end cuts hoppers are tagged appropriately with the correct weights, steel tags are numbered and in order and clean out tubs.\n* Shear or saw steel material.\n* Periodically check shear and saw counter to be at correct count and length.\n* Weigh, Tag, Issue, Record Entry for all sheared material.\n* Operate tow motor and crane to move material from delivery trucks, inventory, shears, saw, hammer and to different areas of the Forge Department.\n* Inspect incoming and processing steel.\n* Unload steel truck and process needed paperwork.\n* Must be able to multi task. Employee is typically cutting different bundles of steel on multiple shears and saws for multiple hammers at the same time.\n* Employees should have the ability to drive stick shift to utilize the flatbed truck with air brakes to transfer steel from different warehouses.\n* May be asked to weld. (Stub Welding and Stick Welding)\n\n*Skills*\n\n* Skilled in using shears, saws, hand tools, cranes, tow motors, flatbed truck sticks shift and other machinery safely within a manufacturing setting.\n* Basic ability to read, write and general math skills while using measuring devices such as measuring tape, gages, micrometers and calipers. Strong computer skills.\n* Familiarity with welding.\n* Reliable and able to multi-task.\n* Prior manufacturing experience and computer skills preferred.\n\nFull benefits package available. 100% paid health insurance premiums.
