This role helps ensure the facilities are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and mechanical systemsSupport preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely completion of work ordersTroubleshoot and resolve building system issues and equipment failuresCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and building management as neededAssist with supervising engineering staff and providing technical guidanceMonitor building performance and recommend operational improvementsEnsure compliance with safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policiesMaintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentationSupport emergency response activities and after-hours situations when requiredAssist with budgeting, inventory management, and procurement of materials and equipmentQualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial building engineering or facilities maintenanceExperience in a multi-building commercial environment preferredStrong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsLeadership or supervisory experience preferredValid engineering licenses/certifications preferred (Blue on Blue strongly preferred)Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in mechanical spaces for extended periodsAbility to respond to building emergencies as neededPosition Type: Full-Time Salary: $50+/hr DOESchedule: 5 days on site (Clark, NJ)Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401k retirement plan with company matchContinuous training and professional development opportunitiesTake-home company vehicle for work-related travelWORKING FOR ABFS
