This team is known for being collaborative and supportive, and they are looking for someone who can serve as a true partner to leadership while remaining close to the day-to-day operations of the business.The position works closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment, supporting both core accounting operations and broader financial initiatives. It is fully onsite in the Orlando area.It offers strong visibility and access to senior leadership, along with the opportunity to contribute to financial reporting, operational decision-making, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reportingPrepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and key accounting activitiesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisSupport job-level financial tracking, including WIP and project cost analysisAnalyze financial results and provide insight into trends and performanceMaintain and enhance internal controls and accounting processesSupport audit and compliance activities within the accounting functionDrive process improvements to support scalability and efficiencyLead and develop a small accounting team across core functionsQualifications10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years of leadership experienceExperience in construction, specialty contracting, mechanical services, or a similar project-driven environment is a mustExperience in operational or project-based accounting environments, including work-in-progress (WIP) and job cost accountingAbility to operate in a hands-on, in-office setting within a dynamic environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teamsERP system experience is a mustBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredFully onsite role based in the Orlando area (no hybrid or remote flexibility at this time)Candidates must be comfortable working in an in-office, highly interactive environmentCompensation & Benefits$120,000 – $150,000 base salary, depending on experience, level, and overall alignmentBonus potential based on company and individual performanceComprehensive benefits packageAbout Us Steadfast Executive Search LLC is a boutique search firm specializing in direct-hire accounting and finance recruitment throughout Florida.
