Join a founding team who’ve shipped products for Autodesk, Electronic Arts, Nike, and Apple. We have raised over $175M with support from top-notch venture capital firms and more than 18 strategic investors—industry leaders in construction, building products manufacturing, and distribution.\nHigharc is seeking an expert Analytics Engineer to own how data is structured, understood, and surfaced across our platform for the builders who use our product and for the Product and Customer Success teams who depend on their own internal analytics. This is a net-new role on the Software Engineering team, created because our largest customers are asking harder analytics questions than anyone currently owns.\nWhat You'll Do\nYou own the data itself: the analytics models, the metric definitions, and the views built in tools like Looker and Observable. You decide what belongs in front of which audience, and you direct the work our infrastructure and engineering teams need to do to get the right data into the system in the first place. You'll turn current workflows into a coherent plan, then build against it.\nExpect to:\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable data models and views in Looker/Observable that serve both customer-facing and internal analytics\nPartner with engineering to design and ship polished customer-facing data views for enterprise builders\nWork with Product and Customer Success to define the metrics they need to make decisions, then build the reporting behind them\nSet direction for our analytics stack and decide where each piece of reporting should live\nOwn decisions about data infrastructure and instrumentation, including how data flows between systems like BigQuery and S3, and where product analytics tracking such as PostHog needs to change\nUse data modeling, statistics, and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies across large datasets\nBuild a triage process for incoming analytics requests across the org so priorities are clear and the queue doesn't run you\nServe as the clear, trusted owner of \"what the data says\"\nAbout You\nYou know what data matters to builders versus internal stakeholders, not just how to report it. You're comfortable walking into a messy, competing set of requests and turning it into a plan without being handed one. You earn buy-in from infra, integration, and frontend teams you don't manage, and you're fine directing engineering priorities without owning the build yourself. You treat the org's data needs as your responsibility rather than a ticket queue.\nYou can translate cleanly in both directions: explaining a model to an engineer and explaining an insight to someone who will never open a SQL editor.\nYou have:\n6+ years in analytics, data science, or business intelligence, owning work end-to-end from modeling through presentation\nProven expertise writing and optimizing SQL in a business context, with strong data modeling fundamentals\nHands-on experience with a BI/visualization tool such as Looker or Observable\nExperience with data warehouses and pipelines (BigQuery, S3, or equivalent) and product analytics tools (PostHog or similar)\nA track record building both internal and customer-facing dashboards and reporting\nStrong ability to manage fast-paced, ambiguous projects with a high degree of organization and independence\nSharp judgment about what data belongs in front of which audience\nA major plus if you also bring:\nExperience delivering analytics to large enterprise customers with their own reporting requirements\nBackground in construction tech, homebuilding, or another complex physical-world domain\nWorking at Higharc\nHigharc has been remote first since our founding in 2018. We offer flexible hours so you can do your best work without missing out on life. Higharc offers competitive salaries with significant equity, in a fast-growing, well-funded company.\n\nPersonal healthiness is an important value for us- we provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with flexible PTO, and meaningful maternity/paternity leave to all U.S based employees that are full-time. You'll also have access to other big-company benefits such like short and long-term disability plans and a 401K. Haven't worked remotely before? We provide a stipend to create the ideal home office.\n\nPlease note: we are seeing an uptick of fraudulent recruiting activity claiming to be associated with Higharc.
