Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
ROLEMugen Psychiatry is hiring a Full Practice Authority, board-certified PMHNP for inpatient psychiatric coverage every weekend at a partner hospital in the Chicago area. This is a consistent, every-weekend position.You will round on patients in person, continuing treatment plans established by weekday teams while managing weekend-level clinical decisions. A board-certified psychiatrist is on-site for real-time case staffing.RESPONSIBILITIES• New psychiatric admissions and follow-up evaluations• Medication management, risk assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning• In-person rounding with coordination across nursing, social work, and unit leadership• Real-time case discussion with board-certified psychiatrists and fellow PMHNPs• No discharges, no on-call, no interdisciplinary meetings, no case managementSCHEDULE AND STRUCTURE• Every Saturday and Sunday, 10–12 hour shifts• Inpatient psychiatric hospital, Chicago area• 1099 independent contractor• Malpractice coverage provided at no cost• Credentialing and facility onboarding managed by MugenREQUIREMENTS• Active Illinois APRN license with Full Practice Authority (FPA)• PMHNP-BC certification (ANCC)• Active DEA and Illinois controlled substance registration• Minimum 2 years inpatient psychiatric experience (strong recent graduates considered case-by-case)• Available every Saturday and Sunday on an ongoing basisOUR VALUES• Operational Integrity — We do what we say, measure what matters, and hold a consistent standard.• Clarity Before Speed — We understand before we intervene.• Ownership Mentality — We take responsibility for outcomes across boundaries, not just assigned tasks.• Repeatable Excellence — We build systems that produce consistent results independent of individual heroics.ABOUT MUGEN PSYCHIATRYBuilt by clinicians for clinicians.
