Dig into a career that moves Fort Wayne forward-operate heavy equipment and make a real impact every day!Hours: 11:00 pm-7:00 am; Required to be oncall in assigned rotationWhat You'll DoOperate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, skid steers, trenchers, loaders, and morePerform excavations for repair or replacement of water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer assetsLevel, grade, and cut swales along roadwaysLift, move, and place heavy materials and objects using equipmentChip brush, cut trees, and operate chainsaws and trimmers as requiredLoad and secure equipment onto transport trailersSafely handle and dispose of chemicalsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent3+ years operating heavy equipment preferredValid Indiana Driver's License; CDL "A" with tanker "N" endorsement required within first 180 days for new hiresCertified Component Person: Excavation and Trench (obtain within 90 days)Certified Competent Person: Confined Space (obtain within 90 days)Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentClimb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbsClose, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception requiredWork outdoors in loud environments; hearing protection requiredExposure to varying weather conditions and heavy equipment operationsWhy Join Us?
