(Military, Industrial, Financial, Space and Frequency and Time Synchronization Solutions).\nThe main duties, among others, the support engineer will perform the following:\nLearn the Primary Reference Standard “Atomic Clocks” and help in trouble shooting customer issues.\nAbility to interpret schematics, assembly drawings and production/manufacturing procedures.\nTroubleshooting of FTS -timing and synchronization systems to assist customers with fault identification.\nLog customer cases in the CRM System.\nWork on solutions or workarounds and escalate if the customer is in a critical situation and no timely solution is available.\nEffective communication with the customer.\nProactive communication with Technical Support Management.\nDocumentation of the solution and timely updates of the customer case status in the CRM.\nFocus on presales and post-sales technical engagements for Microchip Frequency and Time Systems (FTS) products.\nProvide front line technical and applications support to customers and internal sales forces.\nProvide technical presentations and training that reflect customer requirements with emphasis on scalable features of Microchip FTS equipment.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nBS in Electrical Engineering.\n4-6 years experience\nBasic knowledge / understanding of frequency references, protocols and network timing technologies including NTP, PTP, IRIG, GPS, GNSS, Network Synchronization and Test Methodologies.\nPerform Data Analysis using Proprietary Software tools.\nEffective communication skills (writing and speaking) and readiness to engage in Phone or Web-based Conference Calls.\nPC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nWork well in a team environment.\nSelf-motivated with exceptional organization skills.\nSystematic approach to problem solving with strong attention to detail.\nFour or more years of Technical Support or Customer Service experience.\nEffective and proactive communication.\nU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
