This position supports scientific and administrative staff by ensuring daily office operations run efficiently while maintaining compliance with federal administrative procedures.\nThis is an onsite position supporting the following USDA research units:\nArthropod-Borne Animal Diseases Research Unit (ABADRU)\nHard Winter Wheat Genetics Research Unit (HWWGRU)\nGrain Quality & Structure Research Unit (GQSRU)\nStored Product Insect & Engineering Research Unit (SPIERU)\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe selected candidate will provide administrative and office support including:\nAnswer telephones and greet visitors\nManage calendars and schedule appointments\nCoordinate meetings and conference rooms\nPrepare correspondence, reports, memoranda, invoices, and other documents\nDraft, edit, and proofread communications\nMaintain electronic and paper filing systems\nProcess incoming and outgoing mail\nAssist with bookkeeping and account tracking\nMaintain office records and documentation\nSupport multiple managers and scientific staff with day-to-day administrative functions\nPerform other administrative duties as assigned in support of USDA operations.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)\nMinimum 2–3 years of administrative or executive support experience\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nProfessional customer service and interpersonal skills\nAbility to prioritize multiple assignments independently\nExperience maintaining confidential information\nStrong attention to detail\nProficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including:\nOutlook\nWord\nExcel\nPowerPoint\nTeams\nBasic accounting, bookkeeping, or invoice processing experience\nAbility to quickly learn new computer systems and software.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Federal Government offices\nExperience working in scientific, laboratory, university, or research environments\nKnowledge of federal administrative procedures\nSecurity Requirements\nApplicants must:\nBe a U.S. Citizen\nSuccessfully obtain and maintain a USDA Public Trust background investigation\nMeet all USDA personnel security requirements prior to beginning work.\nWork Environment\n100% onsite\nStandard office environment\nGovernment-furnished workstation and equipment\nNo travel required.\nDesired Skills\nSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:\nExcellent organizational abilities\nIndependent decision-making\nProfessional written communication\nStrong customer service skills\nAttention to detail\nReliability and dependability\nAbility to manage competing priorities\nCollaborative teamwork\nProfessionalism in a Federal work environment.\nWhy Join Cetechs?\nCetechs is a trusted federal contractor dedicated to supporting government agencies with exceptional professionals.
