This position serves as a technical resource supporting production operations through process development, continuous improvement initiatives, CNC machining optimization, new product introduction, and manufacturing problem solving.\nWorking collaboratively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering, the Process Engineer identifies opportunities to improve manufacturing performance while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, quality management systems, and applicable regulatory standards. This position primarily supports T&E Industries in Orange, New Jersey, while providing engineering support to ROW, Inc. in Addison, Illinois.\n\nEssential Job Functions\nDevelop, implement, validate, document, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process\ndocumentation.\nAnalyze manufacturing workflows and production data to improve productivity, throughput, quality, safety, and overall operational efficiency.\nProvide hands-on engineering support for CNC machining operations, including tooling selection, fixture design, machining parameters, cycle time improvements, and process optimization.\nInvestigate manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).\nSupport new product introduction (NPI), process transfers, equipment installations, process qualifications, and manufacturing readiness activities.\nLead or facilitate Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, visual management, standardized work, and waste reduction projects.\nConduct process capability studies, statistical process control (SPC) analysis, PFMEA development, Control Plan creation, process validation, and manufacturing risk assessments.\nCollaborate with Quality Engineering to investigate nonconforming product, customer complaints, and internal quality issues using root cause analysis methodologies.\nEvaluate manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process technologies while recommending improvements that enhance operational performance and reduce manufacturing costs.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to support engineering change implementation, production startup activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPrepare technical reports, engineering documentation, process metrics, and project updates for leadership and key stakeholders.\nPromote safe work practices while supporting compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and quality management systems.\nAdditional Duties\nEmployees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nAn equivalent combination of education and directly related manufacturing engineering experience may be considered.\nMinimum of three (3) years of progressive process engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting CNC machining operations and manufacturing process optimization.\nExperience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFive (5) or more years of manufacturing process engineering experience.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.\nExperience supporting aerospace, medical device, precision machining, engineered polymers, seals, O-rings, or related manufacturing industries.\nWorking knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC programming fundamentals.\nExperience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing process development and process optimization.\nWorking knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and machining practices.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), specifications, and manufacturing documentation.\nKnowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC), process validation, and capability analysis.\nStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause problem-solving skills.\nStrong project management and organizational abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities.\nEffective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing-related software applications.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while working independently with minimal supervision.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently stand and walk throughout manufacturing facilities for extended periods.\nFrequently use hands and fingers to operate computers, tools, measuring devices, and manufacturing equipment.\nOccasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.\nAbility to climb stairs, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach as required while supporting manufacturing operations.\nAbility to travel by automobile and commercial airline as business needs require.
