Route 59, Naperville, IL 60540 $20–$22/hour + commission + tips 30–35 Hours Per WeekBall Factory Playground | Party | Café is looking for a reliable, energetic, and hands-on Assistant Manager to join our leadership team.This is not a sit-behind-the-desk management position. We are looking for someone who leads by example, stays calm under pressure, enjoys working with families and children, and helps create an organized, positive environment for both guests and team members.While training is provided, the right candidate should naturally be guest-focused, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing fast-paced operations.If you enjoy hospitality, events, food service, and team leadership, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a family entertainment business that combines playground operations, café service, and private events.What You'll Do• Support daily operations of the facility, café, admissions, and events• Act as manager on duty when upper management is unavailable• Lead, motivate, and support team members throughout shifts• Provide excellent guest service and professionally resolve concerns• Assist with party coordination and event execution• Answer phone calls, emails, and booking inquiries promptly• Explain packages, promotions, memberships, and policies clearly• Operate the POS system and assist with admissions and café transactions• Help prepare food and beverages while maintaining presentation standards• Monitor inventory, labeling, stock rotation, and supply levels• Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the facility• Complete operational checklists and daily opening/closing procedures• Perform safety walkthroughs and report maintenance concerns• Assist with training and accountability of team members• Maintain a positive, team-first work environmentQualifications• Availability including weekdays, weekends, and holidays required• Previous management or leadership experience preferred• Strong communication and organizational skills• Ability to multitask and stay composed in busy environments• Comfortable handling guest interactions and problem solving• Experience with Google Docs and Mac OS preferred• Must be dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform active physical work• Ability to lift 20+ pounds and frequently bend, twist, kneel, and move throughout the facilityIdeal CandidateYou are someone who:• Leads with positivity and professionalism• Notices what needs to be done without being asked• Works well with both teenagers and parents• Understands hospitality and guest experience• Can balance leadership with teamwork• Takes pride in keeping operations organized and running smoothlyJoin a family-focused business where great leadership truly matters.By applying to this job, you agree to receive periodic text messages from this employer and Homebase about your pending job application.
