In this role, you will work within defined guidelines and frameworks to support the enterprise by developing, configuring, testing, and maintaining solutions for the Complaints Pega application. Your contributions will span the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of reliable technology solutions that streamline complaint processes across various business units, including Bank, Life, Property and Casualty, and Member Relations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a flexible environment, with a requirement to be in the office four days a week. The role is based in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Phoenix, AZ, with no relocation assistance provided.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of specialized experience in Pega development, with at least two years involved in delivering comprehensive technology solutions throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. Candidates should hold a CSSA certification and have a foundational understanding of programming languages and tools such as Java, Go, SQL, and Pega. Experience troubleshooting applications and resolving production issues is essential, along with the ability to quickly grasp business requirements to engineer effective solutions. Basic knowledge of cloud technologies and tools will be advantageous for this role.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, code, and rigorously test complex technical solutions to meet business needs.Investigate and resolve intricate application and system issues, including troubleshooting production problems to ensure minimal disruption.Conduct comprehensive systems analysis to identify operational improvements and recommend policy or procedural changes.Prepare and install complex solutions by defining system specifications, standards, and programming requirements.Adhere to the software development lifecycle, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.Participate actively in design reviews and acquire a deep understanding of key system design principles.Mentor junior engineers and potentially peer engineers, reviewing code to maintain high standards of quality and best practices.Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities, ensuring compliance with risk management policies and procedures.BenefitsUSAA offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our employees' physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
