This role focuses on building and maintaining a high-performance, open-source Swift SDK used across all Apple platforms. You'll work close to the OS to create instrumentation libraries for performance monitoring, telemetry, hang detection, and crash reporting, while collaborating with other platform teams and contributing to standards like OpenTelemetry.\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\nDesign, build, and maintain a modular Swift SDK used across all Apple platforms.\nImplement core instrumentation features including crash reporting, hang detection, performance monitoring, and telemetry capture.\nBuild resilient data pipelines for offline storage, batching, retries, and efficient delivery under strict mobile runtime constraints.\nShape SDK architecture and API design, ensuring clarity, stability, and long-term backward compatibility.\nDebug complex platform issues involving threading, memory, lifecycle behavior, and OS/device fragmentation.\nDevelop capture services for networking, user interactions, and system events using frameworks like MetricKit.\nOptimize performance across startup time, binary size, memory usage, and thread safety.\nCollaborate with cross-platform SDK teams (React Native, Flutter, Unity) to prevent downstream breaking changes.\nContribute to OpenTelemetry alignment and upstream standards work.\nPartner with Product and Customer Success to incorporate developer feedback into the SDK roadmap.\n\nWhat you need for this position:\nHands-on SDK or framework experience, building libraries used by other developers.\nDeep knowledge of Apple runtime behavior - memory, threading, lifecycle, and startup performance.\nStrong production debugging skills across diverse devices and OS versions.\nAPI design experience, including versioning and long-term evolution.\nUnderstanding of binary compatibility and ABI stability.\nComfort with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.\nOpenness to AI-assisted engineering workflows\nBonus skills:\nFamiliarity with Swift macros or Swift Syntax tooling.\nKnowledge of OpenTelemetry or observability concepts (traces, spans, logs).\nExperience supporting multiple Apple platforms from a shared codebase.Exposure to system frameworks like MetricKit or MXDiagnostic.\nAbility to work in a multi-SDK ecosystem (React Native, Flutter, Unity).\nOpen-source contributions.\nExperience supporting external developers or SDK users.\nBenefits:\n$140k-170k/year + EQUITY!\nUnlimited PTO\nMedical, Dental, & Vision Insurance\nParental leave for BOTH parents\nAnnual company trip :-)\nInternet stipend\n$500 desk allowance to set up your home office\nOpportunities for learning & growth\nBenefits\n\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
