Team Lead, Air ImportsLocation: Seattle, WADivision: Air & Sea USJob Posting Title: Team Lead, Air ImportsTime Type: Full TimeSummary: Freight Forwarder Air Import is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination. This role involves coordinating with multiple parties, including airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies, and requires strong organizational and communication skills.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destinationCommunicate with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goodsTrack shipments and provide updates to customers as neededPrepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperworkEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsManage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer serviceEducational Background / Work ExperiencePrior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferredExperience in air imports is highly desirableSkills & CompetenciesMathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and ratesOther Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesKnowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulationsUnderstanding of trade laws and regulationsLanguage SkillsFluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is preferredAt Will Employment: DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.For this position, the expected base pay range is $33.00 - $44.75 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.DSV offers a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the health and well-being of employees and their families.
