Phlebotomist/Medical AssistantExpertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture - will draw 1-5 tubes from each patient. The clinic sees 100+ patients a dayLocation: 5525 Etiwanda Ave, Tarzana, CA 91356 Float Locations: 12660 Riverside Dr, North Hollywood, CA 91607 18133 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356 5411 Etiwanda Ave, Tarzana, CA 91356Required Qualifications:HSD/GEDBLS (AHA or ARC)Flu Vaccinated (No exemptions/No declinations)Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summariesExperience with CS-Link/Epic2 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office settingPreferred Qualifications:2+ years working as a MA in Primary Care of Internal MedicinePhlebotomy certification (highly preferred)Understanding of medical terminologyExperience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plansExperience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissionsJob Duties:Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical recordAssist with tracking and monitoring department specific dataExplain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practiceSet up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needsClean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelinesAdminister immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by providerDraw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
