The engineer will act as the onsite Smart Hands resource, working closely with a remote Network Operations Center (NOC) or engineering team to identify connectivity issues, restore wireless services, and validate network functionality.\r\nThis is a project-based onsite assignment requiring strong networking fundamentals, excellent troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience with enterprise wireless infrastructure.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nWireless Access Point Troubleshooting\r\nDiagnose and resolve Wireless Access Point (AP) connectivity and performance issues.\r\nIdentify hardware, software, configuration, or environmental problems affecting wireless services.\r\nVerify AP operational status, LED indicators, boot sequence, and system health.\r\nPerform physical inspection of installed APs for damage, loose connections, or incorrect installation.\r\nVerify switch port status and ensure proper network connectivity.\r\nCheck Power over Ethernet (PoE) availability and troubleshoot power-related issues.\r\nInspect Ethernet cabling, patch panels, wall outlets, and structured cabling.\r\nConfirm VLAN assignments and switch port configurations under remote guidance.\r\nTest LAN connectivity between the Access Point and network infrastructure.\r\nOnsite Smart Hands Support\r\nCoordinate with remote Network Engineers throughout the troubleshooting process.\r\nConnect console cables or management interfaces when required.\r\nExecute configuration commands under remote supervision.\r\nCapture console output, logs, screenshots, and diagnostic information for the remote engineering team.\r\nAssist with firmware upgrades or AP replacement if instructed.\r\nWireless Testing & Validation\r\nPerform wireless connectivity testing using laptops or mobile devices.\r\nValidate SSID broadcasting and wireless authentication.\r\nVerify DHCP address assignment and internet/network access.\r\nConfirm roaming functionality where applicable.\r\nTest signal strength and overall wireless performance after restoration.\r\nReplace faulty Access Points when necessary.\r\nMount and secure replacement equipment.\r\nConnect and label network and power cables according to site standards.\r\nVerify successful device adoption into the wireless controller or cloud management platform.\r\nDocumentation & Reporting\r\nRecord all troubleshooting steps and corrective actions performed onsite.\r\nDocument findings, root cause, and final resolution.\r\nCapture site photographs before and after work (if required).\r\nSubmit a detailed completion report including\r\nArrival and departure times\r\nWork performed\r\nEquipment replaced (if applicable)\r\nTest results\r\nOutstanding issues\r\nSite photos\r\nCommunication & Coordination\r\nMaintain
