Automation & AI Developer (Remote) Location: Remote Type: Full-time (40 hrs/week) Hours: Must overlap with US Pacific TimeRole Overview We are hiring an Automation & AI Developer to design and build AI-powered systems that improve business operations.This role combines technical execution with strategic thinking. You will assess workflows, identify automation opportunities, and build scalable solutions using AI tools and automation platforms. You'll also create clear documentation and enable non-technical teams to operate systems independently.This is a client-facing role requiring both strong technical ability and the ability to communicate solutions clearly.Key Responsibilities AI Strategy & Solution DesignAnalyze business operations and identify automation opportunitiesDefine clear automation hypotheses and expected outcomesDesign scalable AI and automation architecturesPresent recommendations to stakeholdersAutomation DevelopmentBuild end-to-end automations using tools like Zapier or MakeIntegrate AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) into workflowsTest, deploy, and optimize automation systemsCreate reusable templates and systemsSystems & InfrastructureManage and maintain WordPress environmentsHandle hosting, domains, and basic server administrationSupport integrations across tools and platformsMonitor system performance and proactively resolve issuesDocumentation & EnablementWrite clear, step-by-step documentation for non-technical usersTrain team members on using and maintaining systemsContribute to internal knowledge base and best practicesRequirements Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldBackground in software development or system architectureHands-on experience with automation tools (Zapier and/or Make)Experience using AI tools in development workflows (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)Strong understanding of LLM capabilities and limitationsExperience with GitHub (version control, repositories)Experience with cloud infrastructure / virtual serversWordPress development or administration experienceStrong written English and documentation skillsAbility to work with US Pacific Time overlapPreferred Qualifications Experience with Python or similar scripting languageFamiliarity with tools like GoHighLevel, Mindbody, or AcuityExperience in client-facing or consulting environmentsExperience assessing systems and recommending automation solutionsWhat We're Looking For Strong problem-solver who thinks in systems, not tasksAble to balance strategy and executionClear communicator who can explain technical concepts simplyProactive and comfortable working independentlyPractical mindset — tests ideas before scalingSuccess in This Role Deliver working automation systems that improve real workflowsCreate documentation that enables non-technical usersBuild scalable, reliable solutionsContribute to continuous improvement of internal systems
