Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, preparing cost estimates, and managing the bidding process for electrical projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: · Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine the electrical requirements of various projects. · Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment needed for electrical installations. · Develop and submit competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines. · Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define project scope and requirements. · Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide solutions to increase project profitability. · Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market prices for materials and labor. · Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the company. · Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary to ensure accuracy and profitability. · Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes and standards. Requirements for consideration · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. · Experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction or electrical contracting industry. · Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical plans. · Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. · Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.). · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
