We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician Trainee opportunity at NDX H&O in Manchester, NH. Previous experience is not required. We offer on the job / paid training!The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions Of The PositionPour positive models from impressions supplied by dentists using liquid stone mixtureNumber all models and impressions with case numberTrim models with bulk and or fine trimmerPindex models and place pins in diesSaw out dies using proper technique to make dies removable for fabricationApply die hardener and die spacer to diesPlace models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique articulating to correct bite relationshipPrepare specialty models including epoxy models and those for implant cases and combination casesFabricate soft tissue modelsFit crowns to abutments, sandblast abutments and write tooth numbers on the facial of abutmentWax cases to correct specificationsFit all work to a solid poured or digitally printed modelChoose correct porcelainBuild to correct contour, blend and occlusionStain and glaze with crown clean-up functions on posterior restorationsComplete esthetic anterior PFZ, PFM and full contour casesFire at the correct temperature and for the appropriate amount of timeSteam clean required itemsReturn items to proper panComplete cases according to work ticket scheduleScan and initial cases as requiredPerform basic porcelain repairs according to Technical Team PoliciesAll other duties as assignedSkills And Abilities That May Be RequiredKnowledge of tooth anatomyAbility to articulate according to RxKnowledge of materials (i.e. stones, acrylic)Identify through Impressions marginsMust be able to understand, read, write and speak EnglishMinimum Education And Experience RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredNo previous experience required; on the job / paid training will be providedHazardous Materials Or Equipment That May Be UsedLaboratory equipment that may include: grinders, lathes, ovens, burners, steamers and boiling waterPhysical Abilities That May Be RequiredSitting for long periods of time, uncommon posture when fabricating and continuous maneuvering of hands and fingers while working with small tools.Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motionsGood hand-eye coordinationGood manual dexterityAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeRepeated bending and kneelingVision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or colorMay be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 25 pounds
