This role will be collecting electrical field data and making design changes for upgrades of the plant. This will not be working with the nuclear reactor.\n\nElectrical Designer II Responsibilities\nUnderstand and develop wiring diagrams, connection diagrams, one-line/three-line diagrams, schematic/elementary diagrams, logic diagrams, and conduit/raceway diagrams\nProduce complex 2D engineering drawings\nCheck drawings for accuracy including dimensions, spelling, drafting standards, and completeness utilizing correct project design criteria\nParticipate in field walk downs as necessary to obtain measurements, verify as-built documentation, and develop field sketches in support of plant modifications and design installations (occasionally required)\nExercise independent judgment to develop designs with minimal direction from Design Supervisor, Design Lead or Engineering\nConcurrently support multiple projects\nCommunicate with project engineers and other disciplines to develop drawings and resolve design discrepancies\nInterface with the customer and their construction representatives to integrate designs to satisfy their standards\nElectrical Designer II Requirements\nAssociates degree in drafting, design or engineering technology or 4 years of equivalent experience in the design of electrical and controls systems\nMust have 5 years (minimum) of experience in engineering drafting and electrical design practices in addition to the education requirements\nAbility to utilize various drafting and CADD techniques as required for project requirements\nRecent plant modification package development and/or field experience on nuclear power plant projects is a plus\nKnowledge or use of Raster Design or 3D modeling experience is a plus\nAdditional certifications and/or courses in basic electronics and/or electrical systems desired\nAbility to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, to include climbing ladders, working at heights, carrying equipment up to 50 pounds, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined spaces and controlled hazardous (e.g., high temperatures, high radiation) areas is required.\n\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
