Job Description Exciting Opportunity in Pediatric Behavioral Health IntegrationAt Meel Pediatrics, we are committed to making behavioral health an integral part of our primary care services. Our primary care providers work hand in hand with our integrated behavioral health clinician, to help the children and families we care for.The successful candidate will join our clinical provider team, to deliver fully integrated behavioral health services to our patients. Working within our family-centered medical home, the behavioral health clinician will:Provide consultative support to primary care providers and clinical staffComplete real-time, initial consultations, and scheduled follow-up care as neededDeliver effective, evidence-based, interventions to help children and families achieve targeted behavioral goalsMaintain up to date documentation in the practice's electronic health recordActively participate in team meetings, and professional development that supports the practices' integrated healthcare modelAssist in identifying patients at risk of developing health problems, and provide preventive interventions to address the needs of these populationsAssist the primary care team in developing care management processes, such as the use of guidelines, disease management techniques, case management, and patient education, to improve patient self-managementHelp evolve the practices integration efforts, by identifying problems and making recommendations for improvementRequired and Preferred Experience:A license for independent practice in Massachusetts (LICSW or LMHC) is required.Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is requiredExperience with behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, motivational interviewing, and brief, solution-focused interventions is highly desirableCandidates should have a proven record of collaborative service delivery, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the flexibility and adaptability required to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, busy medical practice.Experience in pediatric primary care or other pediatric medical setting is preferredThis role provides significant opportunities to participate in high quality, CE-accredited, clinical education, through our partnership with Boston Children's Hospital, and the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's, at no cost.
