{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3fba1157f151c28468d9258c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3fba1157f151c28468d9258c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3fba1157f151c28468d9258c","title":"Structural Engineer","description":"*General Summary:*\n\nThe Structural Engineer, with limited supervision from the Manager of Structural Engineering, will provide the technical, organizational and communication skills to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for structural systems.\n\n*Primary Responsibilities*\n* Review and/or establish project scope, structural budget, and design approach with the Manager of Structural Engineering, Project Manager and/or client\n* Perform as a project lead engineer for larger projects, managing the production effort of staff assigned to project in terms of quality, budget, and schedule\n* Keep current with latest code publications and apply them in everyday analysis as applicable\n* Produce innovative design solutions and give valuable engineering judgment to the team\n* Formulate, design, and/or conduct analysis of structural framing systems and perform necessary calculations\n* Conduct field measuring and checking at construction site to verify existing conditions\n* Prepare construction documents e.g. drawings and specifications\n* Communicate with other disciplines to produce well-coordinated construction documents\n* Review shop drawing submittals to assure design intent is met\n* Maintain project files containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference material, and other items\n* Communicate scope changes to the Manager of Structural Engineering and Project Manager\n* Mentor less experienced engineers\n* Use available structural computer programs to enhance productivity and verify results with manual checks\n* Performs related duties as assigned\n\n*Employment Qualifications:*\n\n*Education: *\n* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with Structural Engineering focus);
