The Labor Relations Representative will be responsible for providing LR support to a large, diverse employee population at our Tilden Mine. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, thrive in a fast-paced work environment and have a focus on developing and fostering strong relationships.\nSummary of Responsibilities:\nPromote and maintain positive relations between the company, local union officials, and international union representative(s).\nProvides guidance and support to management in all areas of bargaining unit employee relations.\nAdministers grievance handling process and procedures including full ownership of cases through the grievance process.\nRepresent management and meet with supervisors and union representatives to investigate and resolve grievances.\nParticipates in full cycle recruitment process of bargaining unit positions including testing, interviewing, background checks, and selection.\nResearches and assists in the development of labor agreement language and negotiating objectives by contributing recommendations to Manager.\nGathers, prepares and analyzes technical and statistical data for use in negotiation of labor agreements, grievance processing, mediation, arbitration, fact finding and other labor relations activities.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field is required.\n3-5 years’ experience in a human resource role with a strong emphasis in labor relations, preferably in a unionized industrial environment.\nDemonstrated ability to foster strong, positive relationships with Company Management and Union leadership.\nAttention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex administrative processes.\nStrong investigation and interviewing skills.\nProactive labor relations approach with a goal of minimizing escalation of employee concerns.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nExperience in independently assessing and resolving a variety of labor/employee relations issues.\nRelocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates from outside the local area.\nCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
