Job Title: Oven Operator Department: Production Reports To: Production Supervisor Location: [Shirley, NY] Shift: 2nd, 2pm-10pm Pay Rate: $21.25 We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Oven Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for the safe and accurate operation of industrial ovens to ensure products are baked to quality standards. The ideal candidate will follow strict operating procedures, monitor baking temperatures, and maintain documentation to ensure product consistency and safety.Operate ovens according to established temperature guidelines and safety protocolsLoad and unload product racks, ensuring trays are properly placed and alignedMonitor oven performance using gauges and controls; report malfunctions immediatelyFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent equipment damage and underbaked productsComplete and maintain accurate production documentationReport food safety or quality issues to the appropriate team membersMaintain cleanliness and organization of work area Minimum:High school diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environmentAbility to follow written instructions and communicate effectivelyStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailPreferred:Experience in food manufacturing or baking operationsForklift operator certification is an assetBasic computer skills and familiarity with machine controlsAbility to work in hot environments and around industrial equipmentComfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and standing for long periodsStrong teamwork and problem-solving skillsFlexible to work various shifts, including weekendsExposure to hot temperatures, loud machinery, and moving equipmentRequires proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Fast-paced, production-focused facility Pay Details: $21.25 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
