This role is hands-on and detail-focused. You'll take the time to do each job right, follow established procedures, and keep accurate records of your work.\n\nWe're looking for someone who works carefully and methodically, values precision over rushing, and takes pride in getting the technical details correct every time.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nInstall, repair, rekey, and service locks, keyways, and access hardware for commercial and residential clients\nDuplicate keys and program transponder keys and key fobs\nRead work orders carefully and follow manufacturer specifications and company procedures\nComplete a work order and obtain customer signature for every job\nRecord customer identification information on work orders as required by law\nKeep your locksmith license or registration current and carry it on every job\nUse a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to log job details, update work orders, and communicate with dispatch\nKeep your vehicle and tools organized and ready for the next job\nCommunicate clearly with dispatch, your branch manager, and customers about job status and any complications\nFollow all safety protocols when working with tools, ladders, and vehicles\nWhat You'll Bring\nValid California locksmith license, or ability to obtain one before your start date\nValid California driver's license and clean driving record\nAbility to pass a DOJ and FBI background check, DMV and LiveScan fingerprinting\nComfort using a laptop, tablet, and smartphone for job tracking, apps, and daily communication\nComfort working independently and staying focused on detailed, precise work\nWillingness to follow documented procedures and checklists\nMechanical aptitude; locksmith training or apprenticeship preferred\nReliable transportation to and from job sites within San Diego County\nPhysical Requirements\nLift and carry up to 50 lbs\nStand, kneel, and work in varied positions for extended periods\nWork both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions\nUse hand and power tools safely and accurately\nWhy Opening Technologies\n\nWe're a growing specialty construction company built on reputation, attitude, and persistence.
