You will be part of a highly creative and efficient design team comprised of Architects, Engineers, and Designers tasked with solving problems and challenging the status quo. As a subject matter expert, you will have a direct impact on the design of prototypical Data Center sites, provide technical design guidance and vendor oversight, solve large-scale implementation issues, and build a strong understanding of geotechnical design and program requirements.\n\nAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n\nAnalyze data collected during geotechnical investigations to identify potential geotechnical hazards that may affect the project's design, construction, or operation.\nProvide technical guidance to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders on geotechnical issues such as foundation design, slope stability, earthworks, pavement design, and groundwater control.\nManage our external geotechnical design consultants through the Data Center design and construction process.\nReview and optimize designs for site layout, earthworks, foundations, soil stabilization and amendments, pavements, etc.\nCoordinate with internal and external design engineers.\nEffectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.\nCommunicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.\nDevelop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and template specifications related to geotechnical engineering for Data Centers and supporting infrastructure.\nCoordinate with AWS Due Diligence and Real Estate teams to determine site selection criteria and review Due Diligence reports.\nCreate, review, and release design RFPs for various projects, including DCs and special program facilities.\nManage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously.
