Provides expert-level knowledge of sustainment life cycle management activities for programs and project operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nSoftware Development & Architecture\nDesign and develop complex software solutions using best practices and modern technologies.\nEnsure code quality through design reviews, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.\nLead architectural discussions and contribute to implementing and deploying technology strategies.\nLeadership & Mentorship\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers.\nFoster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.\nLead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.\nAgile Team Collaboration\nParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.\nWork closely with Product Owners, QA engineers, and Computer Systems Analysts to deliver value-driven features.\nDrive technical discussions and decision-making within the team.\nPerformance & Optimization\nIdentify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.\nImplement and advocate for secure coding practices.\nEnsure maintainability and scalability of software solutions\n\nRequirements:\nTen or more years of professional software development experience.\nStrong experience designing and developing enterprise applications using C#, VB.NET, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, and object-oriented programming principles.\nExperience developing web applications using JavaScript and React, Angular, or another modern front-end framework.\nStrong experience with SQL, relational databases, Entity Framework, or another ORM.\nExperience designing or supporting microservices, event-driven systems, asynchronous messaging, and distributed applications.\nStrong understanding of domain-driven design, clean architecture, service boundaries, domain events, and related architectural patterns.\nExperience with messaging technologies such as NServiceBus, RabbitMQ, or comparable platforms.\nAbility to evaluate and improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.\nStrong understanding of secure coding practices, application security risks, and secure software design principles.\nFamiliarity with Git, source control strategies, peer reviews, and collaborative development practices.\nAbility to lead technical design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and application modernization efforts.\nExperience mentoring developers, leading technical teams, and communicating design decisions to technical and business stakeholders.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing, troubleshooting, research, and documentation.\nAbility to work onsite\nU.S. citizen with a current T3 investigation\nPreferred Experience\nPrior experience supporting the DLA Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) or the DLA Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS).\nExperience with CQRS, vertical-slice architecture, sagas, eventual consistency, retries, idempotency, or message-driven workflows.\nExperience diagnosing performance issues involving application code, database queries, APIs, messaging, or distributed systems.\nExperience modernizing large or complex legacy applications.\nFamiliarity with AI agents, MCP servers, retrieval-augmented generation, or custom AI-enabled development workflows.\nExperience supporting Department of Defense, military, logistics, financial, property accountability, maintenance, supply chain, or enterprise applications.\nTotal Rewards Statement We believe in fairness and clarity throughout our hiring process.
