In this role, you will be responsible for managing the safe and orderly flow of vehicles into and out of Points of Distribution (PODs) during emergency response operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient operations and the safety of both the public and on-site personnel. These are seasonal positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Ideal candidates for these missions will be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification.\nLocation Disaster Response Locations in Florida\nDuties and Responsibilities Direct traffic into and out of designated POD areas.\nManage the pace at which vehicles enter PODs to maintain flow and prevent congestion.\nMark serviced vehicles as needed per site procedures.\nEnsure safety of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the site.\nCommunicate clearly with team members and follow site supervisor instructions.\nAssist with light logistical support as needed.\nMaintain awareness of surroundings and adapt to changing traffic conditions.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned.\nQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A high school diploma or equivalent is required.\nPrior experience in traffic control, logistics, or emergency response is preferred.\nFlexibility to work irregular hours—such as nights, weekends, and holidays— is essential.\nThe position also requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.\nStrong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.\nEffective communication and teamwork skills.\nStrong situational awareness and communication skills.\nAvailability to deploy with short notice is required.\nMust have reliable transportation to travel to various deployment sites.\nWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
