This position adheres to all safety guidelines. This position works under the direction of Production leader or other manufacturing leaders.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nLoading and unloading trucks.\nReview accuracy of incoming orders.\nRoute incoming orders appropriately for stocking and storage.\nLift material and parts, including but not limited to unloading parts from the burn table.\nWork with and around heavy manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to powered equipment.\nWhen requested, perform other manual work including cleanup activities, garbage removal, facility painting, and snow removal.\nAssist team members with moving and handling parts, manually or by crane use.\nAssist welders with setting up and supplying parts to the designated locations and removal of completed work from said designated location.\nAssist painters in loading and offloading parts in the paint booth and staging area, either manually or with forklift.\nOperate a forklift to load and unload pallets, load and unload freight trucks, and move materials within the facility.\nPractice and adhere to all safety requirements and guidelines. This includes but is not limited to forklift operation, proximity to other powered tools, personnel, equipment, and other workplace factors.\nGrinding responsibilities, such as utilizing electric or pneumatic hand grinders to clean pre-welded parts, welded parts, and steel parts.\nDrilling responsibilities such as utilizing magnetic drill to bore holes.\nInspect tools prior to use to ensure efficient use and safety.\nSafely operate crane and/or forklift if trained and assigned.\nDaily safety inspection i.e. crane, forklift, equipment\nPerform work in a safe manner and complete all required safety inspections.\nActively participate in cross training and continuous improvement assignments.\nWork cooperatively with coworkers including training and knowledge sharing.\nLearn new skills, techniques and equipment operation as assigned.\nMaintain clean and organized work area conditions and comply with safety requirements.\nReceive direction from team lead or another designated leader.\nMaintains conformance with safety rules and regulations, if you are unclear of or uncomfortable with a safety process then you have an obligation to make your supervisor aware.\nIt is required that if you see or are made aware of a safety related issue or concern to immediately address it or make management aware.\nInvolved with continuous improvement efforts regarding all aspects of safety.\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment.\nMay work overtime as production needs require.\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:\n\nA minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment operating heavy manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to powered equipment.\nProficient understanding of safety requirements.\nDemonstrated ability to work cooperatively with management and co-workers.\nMust be able to understand English language and be understood.\nMust be able to work with minimum supervision.\nForklift and overhead crane operation, as trained and assigned.\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nCERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS: None.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
