This position is alsoresponsible for managing the capital budget, machinery and equipment purchases as well as installation andenvironmental projects. RESILIENT STRUCTURES operates globally, with manufacturing facilities in Tilbury, Ontario; St. George, Utah; and Houston, Texas, ensuring worldwide distribution of our ultra-resilient poles.RESPONSIBILITIES:Hire, train and lead the appraisal of skilled trades and engineering support personnel at the facilityLead and manage the Maintenance Department consisting of a Supervisor and 8–10 Maintenance TechniciansAssist in developing JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) and LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) ProceduresManage facility environmental reporting requirements and the safe disposal of wasteBudget and Planning • Manage the Capital Budget development process, including project number assignments, timelines, budget status and ROIManage timelines, vendors, and budgets of approved capital projects including new assets and equipment as required for the Company's continued growthAssist the management team in establishing targets for training, maintenance, efficiency, R&D, staffing and material expenses (Budget)Act as the point of contact for all new equipment purchases and existing equipment changesCoordinate the preventative and predictive maintenance plans and required spare parts inventoryContinuous Improvement • Manage facility maintenance and improvement activitiesAssist in creating RS Technologies Engineering StandardsAssist the Materials Department in the selection and evaluation of equipment, suppliers and mechanical and electrical component vendorsAnalyze the facility energy usage and costs with continuous improvement in mindAssist the production team in troubleshooting and solving production and quality problemsParticipate in the research, trial/development, selection of new processes and equipment to improve the production processEnsure compliance with all Company, Provincial/State and Federal Rules and RegulationsOther duties as assignedTRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical field preferred• Minimum 5 years of experience within a manufacturing/industrial environmentOTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Deal with a wide range of internal and external customers, suppliers and resourcesAbility to think strategically and execute plans effectivelyCommunicate effectively to resolve issues/problems in a timely fashionWORKING CONDITIONS: • Industrial production environmentHot & humid areas within the plantPhysically demanding tasksInteraction with chemicals, heavy machinery, and moving equipmentSome travel to vendors and other corporate facilities as requiredSome outside environments as requiredJob Posted by ApplicantPro
