This is a hybrid position (3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week) based at our Moon Township, PA location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nThe Electronics Engineer will execute testing tasks of new product development and maintenance of line development projects. Additionally, you will execute automated testing programs and validate electronic devices, specifically Trip Units and Breakers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and execute automated and manual test plans across all levels of verification and validation for embedded firmware and hardware systems. Maintain detailed records of test execution, track progress, document results, generate reports, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.\n\nDesign, implement, and execute automated test scripts, simulation models, and hardware in the loop (HIL) or software in the loop (SIL) test environments. Ensure all test activities comply with coding guidelines, electrical and safety standards, and established test architecture.\n\nBuild and maintain automation frameworks and simulation tools to accelerate regression testing, expand test coverage, and improve reliability of embedded system validation.\n\nSupport root cause investigations for manufacturing, plant level, and field reported issues by analyzing logs, running simulations, reproducing failures, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to drive resolution.\n\nParticipate in design, architecture, and code reviews, with a focus on testability, automation readiness, and integration of simulation hooks into firmware/hardware components.\n\nCollaborate cross functionally with developers, product managers, systems engineers, and test teams to define verification strategies, refine requirements, identify automation opportunities, and support release readiness planning.\n\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution to be completed no later than May 2026.\n\nExperience in hardware/electronics testing\n\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nMinimum 1 year of automation and testing experience.\n\nExperience with test equipment such as Omicron, Fluke, or Power System Simulators.\n\nExperience with testing in large, complex electrical system environments.\n\nExperience with writing test automation scripts.\n\nSkills\n\nIndividual who is self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, attentive to detail, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles.\n\nGood written and oral communications skills and be proficient in preparation of formal test procedures and reports.\n\nFamiliarity with electrical power system.\n\nWillingness to travel 10%.\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
