EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: July. 28, 2026 PRIMARY PURPOSE:Develop and implement strategies to improve student enrollment in collegiate classes in high school and post-graduation. Assist the administrative staff in providing a rigorous college & career bound culture for students as well as develop and implement strategies to improve student reading & math scores on TSI measures. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:Valid Texas Teacher CertificateMaster's Degree Preferred SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:Thorough understanding of school operation and pedagogyEffective written and oral communication skillsKnowledge and experience in best practices and high-yield strategiesStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsProactive problem-solving skills demonstrating initiative and teamworkA strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to the improvement of programing for studentsKnowledge and understanding of the requirements and challenges associated with advanced academic classesKnowledge of CCMR A-F accountabilityA commitment to the belief of educational opportunities for all EXPERIENCE:Three to five years of successful classroom experience, preferably in an advanced academic class and/or three to five years experience working in the college access landscape. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Act as the campus dual credit managerAssist with the promotion of AP classes and the management of AP classroomEffectively engage with feeder pattern schools, staff members, students, and parents to inform, encourage and grow advanced class participationDevelop and implement strategies to grow all levers relating to advanced classes & college readinessWork with campus & district leadership teams to develop campus TSI readiness plansAssist in the implementation, communication, and evaluation of the TSI campus planEffectively engage with feeder pattern schools, staff members, students, and parents to educate on the processes and requirements of pursuing a postsecondary educationDisseminate information and provide training regarding new developments in college/career readiness and advanced academics classesProficiently track, organize, and share dataWork with the counseling team to develop and manage student celebrations with regards to advanced classes, CCMR, and college/career readinessWork in tandem with school counselors, Advise Texas, EIF, the advanced academics teaching team, administrators, and CCMR committee to ensure all parties are actively working towards a college & career going culture for all studentsEngage in professional development to grow knowledge and skills in the area of postsecondary readiness and attainmentPerform other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:None WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands:Writing routine reports and correspondence.Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to meet deadlines from multiple assignment requests on a frequent basis.
