We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to use the Spingarage software suite to format definition for the production floor as well as implementing efficiency improvements. Key ResponsibilitiesUtilizing Spingarage Software tool suite, loading build definitions, and verify translation will result in the as desired productReview customer drawings and requests to determine build specificationsDetermine final wire length for all wires resulting in an in-spec final productUtilize and review pin-mapping tools to verify production readinessUtilize software suite to verify tool planning from connector, contact, through toolingComplete digital work instructions by ordering steps appropriately for each build.Utilize WireForge to create digital and printed formboards when requiredSource tooling for new parts groups & verify database completeness for future operationsSupport Quoting group by performing, reviewing, and determining part substitutions when requiredDocument & Disposition Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)Implement 5 whys, determine root cause, and implement corrective actionsPreferred QualificationsDirect experience reading detail part drawings with high parts count BOM’sDirect experience determining order of operations steps for manufacturingDirect experience calculating tolerance stacks and estimating manufacturing tolerance useDirect experience determining & verifying substitute part numbers for complex BOM'sProficiency using and developing a software-based tracking system such as JIRA, GIT, or ConfluenceFamiliarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620E or similar aerospace standardsFamiliarity with common aerospace connector families such as MIL-DTL-38999, Mighty Mouse, MIL-DTL-26482, D-Sub, and MDM Connectors at the part number and specification levelFamiliarity with common aerospace wire types such as M27500 and M22759, at the part and specification levelAbility to discretize difficult problems into a multi-step solution process & lead a multi-disciplinary team to complete the solution processAbility to creatively design a solution and follow through to implementation in at least one relevant medium such as Dev Ops.
