You'll work at the intersection of hardware, controls, and system integration, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are robust, scalable, and built to perform in real-world environments.\n\nThis is an ideal opportunity for an experienced controls or electrical engineer who thrives in R&D environments, enjoys solving non-standard problems, and wants to influence the future of industrial automation.\n\nWhat you will do\n\nDesign and develop industrial electrical control panels for material-handling systems—from concept through release\n\nOwn panel architecture, including power distribution, control and safety circuits, grounding, and network interfaces\n\nCreate and maintain complete electrical documentation packages (schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, I/O diagrams, BOMs) with disciplined revision control\n\nEnsure designs comply with NEC, UL 508A, NFPA 79, and customer specifications\n\nSize and select electrical components including breakers, motor starters, VFDs, power supplies, safety devices, PLC I/O, and protective components\n\nCollaborate with controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure seamless system integration\n\nSupport panel fabrication, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting—including safe diagnosis of live industrial panels when required\n\nLead and participate in technical design reviews, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions\n\nEvaluate emerging technologies and design approaches for future product platforms\n\nProvide technical mentorship and design guidance to other engineers, helping elevate engineering standards across the team\n\nEmbrace and promote by incorporating into your work the core values of Aegis:\n\nProfessionalism: Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
