Reporting to the Director of BI, you will build scalable pipelines, robust data models, and reliable infrastructure that enable teams across the organisation to access accurate, high-quality data.\r\nThis is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, thrives in an international, fast-paced environment, and is excited to design the systems that fuel insights, reporting, and machine learning at scale.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nArchitect and develop scalable, resilient, high-quality data solutions to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning workloads.\r\nDesign, implement, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate, cleanse, and consolidate data from diverse internal and external sources, including APIs and third-party systems.\r\nEnsure data is accurately ingested, transformed, stored, and made accessible through robust testing frameworks and clearly defined business rules.\r\nTranslate business requirements into scalable data models and transformation logic, working with large, multidimensional datasets to surface insights, trends, and opportunities.\r\nBuild and maintain the BI reporting codebase, ensuring high standards of data integrity, availability, and performance across the organisation.\r\nCreate and maintain backend infrastructure that supports analytics platforms, dashboards, and machine learning pipelines.\r\nDevelop and execute unit and integration tests for data pipelines and transformation scripts to ensure reliability and consistency.\r\nProactively identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in data flows and propose scalable, forward-looking solutions.\r\nPartner closely with product managers, engineers, commercial teams, and business stakeholders to understand strategy and data needs, aligning delivery with the BI roadmap.\r\nContribute to team growth through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing, while staying current with industry best practices.\r\nTake ownership of the quality, integrity, and consistency of the BI data codebase and associated datasets.\r\nEnsure ETL efficiency and data availability to meet stakeholder requirements and business SLAs.\r\nAdhere to engineering best practices, including documentation, version control, and maintainable code standards.\r\nSupport and deliver against team OKRs and KPIs, contributing to overall team and business success.\r\nSkills and Experience\r\n2–4 years of back-end and/or data engineering experience, delivering production-grade data solutions.\r\nDemonstrated experience working in a global or international environment, collaborating across regions and time zones.\r\nSignificant experience working with Python.\r\nExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases for OLTP and OLAP usages.\r\nExperience ingesting and processing data from external APIs.\r\nExperience with GCS (Google Cloud Services) and modern data warehousing (ideally BigQuery).\r\nFamiliarity with BI data architecture and version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab.\r\nUnderstanding of performance optimization.\r\nStrong understanding of the business logic behind datasets, with an ability to ensure trust and data quality.\r\nAnalytical, detail-oriented, and committed to building reliable, scalable solutions.\r\nComfortable working with unstructured or imperfect data and transforming it into actionable insights.\r\nA collaborative team player who thrives in a global, multicultural environment.\r\nStrong communicator who can translate complexity into clarity for non-technical stakeholders.\r\nNice to have\r\nExperience in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar would be a plus.\r\nWorking knowledge of PHP.\r\nExperience with Airflow.\r\nBy applying, I confirm that I have read and accept the Staff Privacy Notice\r\nKpler is committed to providing a fair, inclusive and diverse work-environment.
