Pay: $87,000–$90,000 + ~15% Bonus + Benefits (Temecula, CA 92590) Work Location: In-person Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger & Cost Accountant (Staff Level)with at least 2 years of experience to join a growing finance team within a manufacturing or distribution environment. This role supports general ledger accounting, divisional financial reporting, month-end and year-end close activities, and cost/inventory-related accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has hands-on ERP experience, strong accounting fundamentals, advanced-intermediate Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with operations and supply chain teams. Experience in the produce or food industry and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Key Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions Assist with cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost center costing, expense allocations, variance analysis, and support for profit and loss statement reporting. We don't expect all skills to be mastered here, but more than gathering information and passing it along to another for analysis. Support preparation of divisional financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports Assist with cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost center accounting, allocations, variance analysis, and P&L support Analyze financial and operational data using advanced Excel tools to support reporting, budgeting, and decision-making Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and production teams to improve financial accuracy and processes Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis Perform ad hoc accounting and analytical tasks as needed Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Minimum 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts. Reconcile the balance to the G/L before submitting. Staff Account would verify those, but also reconcile balance sheet accounts as needed. Cost accounting experience (inventory, production, operational costing) preferred ERP system experience required in a manufacturing or distribution environment (Famous ERP a plus) Advanced-intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including (bolded items mandatory): Pivot tables and pivot charts XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, nested formulas Data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting Strong understanding of accounting principles, divisional financial statements, and internal controls Experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry mandatory Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective written/verbal communication Pay: $87,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
