We specialize in new construction and rehabilitation of bridges, retaining walls, and other concrete structures.\n\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nPlan and determine method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.\nImplementation and enforcement of safety policies, directing personnel and subcontractors\nManaging the permit and inspection process, maintaining files and updating and assist in regularly scheduled progress meetings\nCoordinate assigned work with different crews, company departments, or other contractors\nMaintaining consistent productivity performance, assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.), and ensuring on-time completions of all jobs per customer requirements\nMaintain good vendor relations to ensure that proper operational performance can be achieved at all times through delegation, assistance or support from the Site Foreman/Lead man and Project Manager (as required)\nPerform additional assignments per supervisor's direction\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n5-10 years of experience in a management position of an equivalent highway/road construction related operation\n10+ years in a management position with some financial and operational responsibilities in a highway/road construction environment\nBridge substructure, superstructure, and bridge beam erection experience (Pile Driving, Caissons/Drilled Shafts, Pile Bents, Beam Setting, Metal Decking, Bridge Decks, Demolition)\nDemonstrated experience with CIP Retaining Walls, CIP Culverts, MSE Walls, Precast Concrete Installation\nDemonstrated knowledge of, reading & interpreting design drawings, design guides, and specifications\nDemonstrated advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and planning\nCOMMUNICATION SKILLS\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.\nAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization\nREASONING ABILITY\n\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
