They unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items. They lift heavy items and may operate a forklift. Material Handlers prepare and maintain records of shipments, post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment. They examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production.\n\nJob Requirements\n\nKey tasks and skills of the job:\n\nEnsure correct picking of materials from system documentation.\n\nDeliver any material to Operational areas within the factory as per the systems documentation.\n\nFollow Company processes within the SAP ERP system to ensure system accuracy and integrity of items picked and delivered.\n\nEnsure timely picking of materials and good housekeeping within the warehouse.\n\nFile and process paperwork within the area in line with system requirements.\n\nSafety glasses and safety shoes and appropriate PPE is required.\n\nShift schedule is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.\n\nWhat your background should look like\n\nHigh School diploma or GED preferred.\n\nMust be able to bend, stretch, & reach overhead.\n\nThis position requires standing/walking for extended periods of time.\n\nIncident reporting in line with company EH&S guidelines.\n\nMaintain safe working practices supporting the companies 5S +1 initiative.\n\n Computer skills required\n\n Ability to pass all pre-employment physical testing\n\n Ability to work in a team environment with the Shipping team on shift as well as assembly/production operators\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\n Must be able to lift and carry a maximum weight of 50 lbs safely & dependably\n Must be able to push a maximum weight of 81 lbs safely & dependably\n Must be able to pull a maximum weight of 88.8 lbs safely & dependably\n Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.\n Frequent standing and walking is required in this job.\nCompetencies\nValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork\n\nABOUT TE CONNECTIVITY\n\nTE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
