Primary responsibilities include installation and training of Renishaw machine tool PC-based software products at customer facilities. The individual is responsible for understanding customer needs and developing application solutions. Role requires interfacing with customers servicing a variety of industries. Internally, the role requires interfacing with Customer Service, Marketing and National Sales. Individual will be involved with generation of quotes and presentations along with supporting trade shows. The work involves extensive travel throughout the U.S. and occasional international travel.\r\nPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities Perform and develop hardware/software solutions based on customer requirements.\r\nInstall and support the application of Renishaw's PC-based software for products.\r\nConduct training on Renishaw Machine Tool Software Products at customer sites.\r\nConduct product training for Renishaw staff.\r\nProvide technical support for sales and marketing.\r\nWork closely with software vendors and Renishaw's UK product development teams.\r\nAssist with introduction of new products.\r\nSet up and attend trade shows.\r\nHelp develop a marketing plan to sell Renishaw software in North America.\r\nOther duties as assigned or requested.\r\nQualifications Minimum Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineer Technology equivalent, or equivalent experience.\r\nAbility to understand and comprehend engineering principles.\r\nStrong troubleshooting skills.\r\nInformation Technology aptitude.\r\nStrong mathematical skills (e.g., Trigonometry).\r\nComputer networking experience.\r\nProgramming experience in at least one advanced level language (e.g., Python, C++).\r\nGeneral experience with a variety of CNC machine types and controls.\r\nGeneral knowledge of custom macro / parametric programming.\r\nKnowledge and experience in programming metrology systems.\r\nUnderstanding of electronic and mechanical principles.\r\nUnderstanding of engineering drawing and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).\r\nKnowledge of CNC machine tools.\r\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies Comfortable operating and programming CNC equipment and working in a manufacturing environment.\r\nIndependent work with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.\r\nAbility to comprehend and produce technical documentation and presentations.\r\nIdentification of problems and trouble-shooting of technical systems.\r\nManual dexterity with the physical ability to install products in a normal production environment.\r\nInterpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.\r\nConflict management.\r\nOrganized and able to schedule work, set priorities, and coordinate with customers.\r\nMicrosoft product knowledge.\r\nCompensation Range (Annual) Up to $80,000 (depending on level and location)\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer This company considers candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
