Your daily duties will adapt to meet the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring excellent patient care and support.Essential Responsibilities:1. Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Provide care aligned with established standards and guidelines, respond to patient calls with appropriate triage, and offer reassurance and clear instructions.2. Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate and up to date. Prepare patients for examinations by collecting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting all findings thoroughly. Confirm patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document billing information.3. Support physicians with testing and treatment procedures, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, arranging necessary tests or admissions, and obtaining referrals. Assist in minor surgeries and physicals, ensuring proper consents are secured before invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education and verify comprehension regarding treatments and medications. Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs.4. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring exam rooms are clean and orderly. Sterilize instruments and verify equipment functionality.5. Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to the needs of the practice.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, full-time position in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
