{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3ec71ac6f79ca5de377cb1d4","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3ec71ac6f79ca5de377cb1d4","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3ec71ac6f79ca5de377cb1d4","title":"Hardware Project Engineer","description":"Hardware Project Engineer – Gilbert, AZ – Contract (5 months)\n\nCompensation: $90–$120 per hour | 40 hours/week\n\nAbout the Opportunity\n\nSupport lead responsible engineer in development and production of custom space electronics.\n\nMay support senior lead engineer on complex projects.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nManage and review product requirements from internal and external customer stakeholders through product development evolution, including deriving design and test requirements necessary to ensure product performance, functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.\n\nCollaborate with designers to validate conceptual solutions through the performance of trade studies and analyses.\n\nAllocate product requirements to functional disciplines and coordinate verification activities across the project team to ensure all product requirements are verified and documented.\n\nAuthor and review engineering analyses and reports.\n\nEnsure project data deliverables meet customer specifications and are delivered on time.\n\nAuthor test procedures.\n\nAssist in design verification testing and production hardware testing.\n\nRead and understand printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) schematics.\n\nUse laboratory measurement equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic failures down to the discrete component / integrated circuit level.\n\nResolve non‑conformance issues encountered during manufacturing and testing activities, including leading Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings and championing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring:\n\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.\n\n3+ years of experience in electronic systems with at least one of the following: PCBA design, embedded processors software design, or requirements management.\n\n3+ years of experience in authoring, managing, deriving, and verifying requirements for complex electronics systems.\n\n3+ years of experience in requirement management database such as IBM Rational DOORS, JAMA Connect, or Siemens Polarion.\n\nWhat Sets You Apart:\n\nHigh proficiency with Microsoft Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).\n\nSelf‑starting instincts and strong sense of project ownership, able to work independently and proactively identify and resolve technical challenges.\n\nStrong understanding of computer architecture and digital interface technologies.\n\nExperience designing or specifying space‑based, radiation‑hardened electronic components is highly desired.\n\nAdditional Information:\n\nUpon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.\n\nAbility to work onsite and be the primary point of contact during 24/7 product testing campaigns.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer.
