Learn more at hexagon.com and follow us @HexagonAB.\nPurpose of Position:\nThe Field Engineer (PE) will be responsible to manage and work on deployments and support for all Hexagon Mining solutions. The Hexagon Mining portfolio includes Surface and Underground Operations (Fleet Management & High Precision), Safety (Operator Fatigue, Collision Avoidance, Proximity Detection, Personal Alert, Vehicle Intervention) and other partner solutions. This is a customer-facing role with regular travel to support Hexagaon Mining customers. They will work with many aspects of the organization including Sales, Account Management, Product Development, and Product Management.\nMajor Areas of Responsibility:\nTo deploy new and upgraded Hexagon solutions at client sites.\nAdvanced troubleshooting of related software systems.\nBasic troubleshooting and configuration of hardware systems.\nProvide site based and remote system support to clients.\nTo lead projects involving other technical staff and contractors through the deployment of complex mining solutions at customer sites.\nIndependently and within a team perform work as required to ensure client expectations are met including:\nDefining and reviewing project proposals and plans with colleagues and customers\nExecution of projects including definition of project phases, elements and schedule\nLoading of basic configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto computing equipment (field and servers) following defined change management procedure\nDevelop procedures and system reports in response to client requests and needs.\nEstablish and maintain effective working relationships within the Hexagon team\nCompliance with Hexagon’s policies and procedures\nOther duties as required from time to time\nKnowledge and Experience\nCandidates with technical experience in any of these areas will be considered:\nLinux operating system.\nPostgres, SQL Server, LINUX shell scripting.\nNetworking – Wireless, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Protocols, Switching & Routing\nAbility to resolve complex issues through troubleshooting techniques\nCandidates will also need:\nStrong prioritizing and time management skills\nWell-developed communication skills, both verbal and written\nAbility to form strong relationships with customers and represent the company professionally\nTravel:\n50% domestic and international travel to client sites is a requirement of this role.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software or a related field.\n\nHexagon is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
