Work assignments, modalities, days, times, and locations vary.The School has clinical instructional opportunities for well-qualified nurse educators Tues. through Sun. - morning, afternoon, and evening - in our expanding undergraduate program.Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.Please note that applications will remain active for 1 year. Therefore, if you apply for this position, you may not hear from the department until there is a need to hire an instructor.DescriptionWhat you'll do and what you'll bring:Part-time, contract faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Work assignments, days, times, modalities, and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner, Educator, and/or Administrator Track of the MS in Nursing program.Duties And ResponsibilitiesTeach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses and/or teach in the online MS in Nursing program.Keep abreast of recent developments in nursing and incorporate into teaching.Actively contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the College of Health, and Ball State University.Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment; ANDClinical nursing experience in area of teaching; ANDAbility to communicate effectively; ANDAbility to use and integrate technology in nursing education.Preferred QualificationsTeaching experience in higher education;Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.Required Certifications/LicensuresCurrent unencumbered State of Indiana Registered Nurse License by date of appointment.National certification as an NP (if teaching in the FNP track of the MS program).How To ApplyPlease follow upload instructions to attach all of the required supporting documents listed below:NOTE: Do not use the Autofill feature for resume.RequiredCurriculum Vitae or ResumeContact information for 3 referencesCover Letter - In your cover letter, please include the following information: Your interest in teaching in-person, online, or both; Specific days and times, including weekends and evenings if applicable, you would be available to teach an in-person clinical section.RN licensure documentationPlease bundle your documents into one document to ensure that you can include all required items.OptionalTranscriptsNP CertificationPlease note that RN licensure documentation must contain applicant’s name, license number, and current license expiration date, and be a copy, scan, or screenshot from an authoritative source.
