Paralegal
Qualifications & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess:Minimum of two (2) years of collections experience, preferably within Community Associations law in a law firm settingProven ability to manage a large, deadline-driven caseload with minimal supervisionExperience handling high-volume collections matters from referral through resolution, including communication with homeowners and property managersFamiliarity with collections procedures and applicable debt collection laws and regulations, including liens, judgments, and garnishmentsExperience tracking accounts, payments, and deadlines using a case management systemAbility to accurately calculate balances, interest, late fees, and attorneys' feesProficiency in preparing legal correspondence and pleadingsStrong written and verbal communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and attention to detailExcellent negotiation skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys and staffBilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not requiredBenefitsThe firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Health and dental insurancePaid holidays, vacation, and sick leave401(k) planConvenient office location near public transportation
