Benefits & HR Compliance Manager
The RoleMidmark is seeking a Human Resources Benefits Manager to provide operational and strategic leadership for enterprise benefits, wellness, and time off programs in partnership with the Benefits and Compensation Director. This role supports the design and governance of benefit programs, leads enterprise wellness initiatives, and ensures accurate and compliant delivery of mandatory benefits administration and HR reporting.What You’ll DoBenefits Administration & Program LeadershipLead and develop a benefits and compliance support team responsible for day-to-day benefits administration and executionOversee annual open enrollment and ongoing enrollment processes, including systems, communications, and execution integritySupport the design, governance, and ongoing evolution of benefit programs in partnership with the Benefits and Compensation DirectorServe as the primary relationship owner for benefits and wellness vendors, brokers, and consultants Wellness & Teammate EngagementDevelop and execute benefits communication and engagement strategies to increase teammate awareness, understanding, and utilization of benefits and wellness programsLead enterprise health and wellness initiatives, including program direction, vendor coordination, measurement, and continuous improvementAnalyze benefits and wellness data to support decision-making, cost management, and program improvements Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and FMLAOwn enterprise-wide benefits and HR compliance reporting, including AAP, EEO-1, Pay Data, VETS-4212, and related filingsProvide governance and oversight for time off programs, including PTO and leave administration, through auditing, process support, and HR partnershipServe as escalation point for complex benefits, wellness, and compliance issues Cross-Functional PartnershipPartner closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, HRIS, Legal, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and operational alignmentProvide subject matter expertise and strategic insights to HR and business leaders on benefits trends and compliance mattersParticipate in enterprise HR initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed What We’re Looking ForEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field6+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration or human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrated experience leading HR programs, compliance reporting, and developing HR talentBenefits-related certification (CEBS, PHR, or similar) preferred Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of employee benefits, wellness programs, and regulatory complianceStrong understanding of HR and benefits compliance reporting requirementsProven people leadership and talent development capabilityStrategic and analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and trendsWorking knowledge of HRIS and benefits administration systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence leadersAbility to manage complex vendor and cross-functional relationshipsHigh level of discretion handling confidential and sensitive information
