This role is suitable for individuals with a technical background and an understanding of building systems and construction. At Vision, the VDC Engineer will focus on model management, BIM coordination, collaboration, clash detection resolution, and quality assurance. For this role, this individual will be supporting a variety of mission critical, healthcare and specialized facility projects throughout the region, and report to the VDC Manager.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead project BIM coordination efforts\nManage sub-contract trade partner BIM personnel\nBuild and maintain federated 3D models\nConduct clash detection tests and determine constructability issues between various trade disciplines\nAssign and manage model constructability/clash issues\nEstablish and enforce BIM Standards, protocols, and workflows for project BIM coordination\nConduct quality control checks to ensure models adhere to project standards\nRegularly communicate BIM progress, standards, and process with project stakeholders\nAssist VDC Manager in establishing, maintaining, or improving internal BIM standards\nOther responsibilities may include: authoring drawings, creating 3D/4D visualizations, providing internal technical support and training\nReview construction documents to ensure adherence to developed and established specifications and standards.\nHelp to identify constructability issues, opportunities for system streamlining and propose solutions and implementation.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelors Degree in Construction Management, or equivalent experience\n1-2 years of experience participating in or leading BIM coordination\nProficiency in Revit and Navisworks software\nWorking knowledge of building system components - MEP, structures, and architecture\nFamiliarity in developing a BIM Execution Plan (BEP)\nExperience using Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines\nAbility to handle stressful situations in a professional manner\nSelf-motivated and forward-thinking, with sound decision-making abilities\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\n\nWhy People Choose Vision Electric & Systems\nAt Vision Electric & Systems, we bring energy, expertise, and innovation to every project we touch.
