This role is in-office Mondays through Thursdays, with a work from home day on Friday, if desired.The RoleWe are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Director of Business Development to own Billd’s supplier channel. The ideal person has experience selling into commercial building material suppliers and/or developing sales channels (with a focus on driving customer acquisition). This role will be responsible for acquiring new partner suppliers, deepening relationships with existing partner suppliers, and ensuring the channel delivers on customer acquisition targets. The ideal candidate has a history of exceeding sales quotas, building channel sales partnerships, and loves the challenges that come with standing up a new partnership channel. This person will be the face of the Billd brand to suppliers and will play an important role in building out the supplier channel. Experience in construction and finance is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect, onboard, and manage relationships with building material suppliers from $10M - $5B in annual revenue (target profile is $50-500M)Lead negotiations with C-level executives (at the supplier) and handle all contract managementWork hand in hand with Billd Sales Development Representatives and Territory Managers to ensure contractor referrals (from suppliers) properly flow through the Billd sales funnel and result in new Billd customersDevelop marketing and sales strategies to drive contractor referrals from partner suppliersConduct both in-person and virtual demos to activate supplier partnerships.Review and manage ongoing supplier deal flow including pipeline reviews with sales and operations executivesConsistently provide product feedback internally to facilitate the evolution of Billd’s supplier channelWork cross-functionally as a part of the Billd team in areas such as marketing, sales, product, finance, and legalApproximately 10% travel requiredSkills And Qualifications5-7 years of channel sales or business development experienceAbility to thrive in an environment of high ambiguity and changeMust have a competitive drive and persevere to consistently achieve excellence and overcome adversityMust be a self starter and continuously invest in self development and learningExperience selling financial services products to building material suppliers is preferredFamiliarity with technology tools such as Salesforce, Outreach and Slack is preferredWhy Billd?Billd is committed to diversity and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
