This role will also focus on building and nurturing meaningful relationships with community members, partners, and collaborators. The ideal candidate is a people connector, detail-oriented planner, and creative thinker who thrives in collaborative environments.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Gathering Planning & ExecutionLead the planning and execution of monthly community gatherings (smaller-scale events outside of quarterly events)Handle logistics such as venue coordination, scheduling, and day-of execution.Ensure gatherings foster connection, belonging, and alignment with Kindred Curiosity’s mission.Event & Program SupportSupport the Community & Programming Director in executing quarterly programs and special events.Assist with logistics (registration, vendor coordination, volunteers, materials prep).Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful program delivery and maximize community impact.Community EngagementBuild relationships with community members to encourage participation and gather feedback.Support member communications across channels (email, social, Slack, etc.) to keep the community informed and engaged.Create welcoming experiences for both new and existing participants.Assist in outreach to potential partners, vendors, and collaborators for events and programs.Represent the organization at gatherings and serve as a connector between the community and the leadership team.Operations & FeedbackTrack attendance and gather feedback from community gatherings to share insights with the Director.Suggest improvements to enhance the overall community experience.Qualifications1+ years of experience in community building, event planning, or program management (nonprofit experience a plus).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Highly organized with excellent project management skills and attention to detail.Creative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Passion for community building, storytelling, and uplifting underrepresented voices.Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partnersYou’d be a great fit if youEstimated time commitment: 15-20 hours per monthVolunteer term will go until December 2026Location: SF Bay AreaNice to havesPassionate about Asian Diaspora experiences and communityMeticulous with strong attention to detail in planning and execution.Creative: Innovative and resourceful in designing engaging programs and events.Adaptability: Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and needsWhat is Kindred Curiosity?At Kindred Curiosity, we’re a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit building spaces for Women of the Asian Diaspora in San Francisco Bay Area to connect, share stories, and grow together.
